Tänder ljus i dag för alla som inte längre finns med oss...

Lighting candles to all of our Loved ones no longer with us ...

I kyrkas ljöd vacker körsång och orgelmusik...akustiken är mästerlig!...

In the church we heard beautiful choire songs and musik from the organ...

Tänder ljus för kärlek, vishet, fred och harmoni på jorden....OK och möjligtvis... Låt valet i USA går åt rätt håll...världen behöver inte fler farliga män med farliga ideer ! Må Obama vinna!

Lighting candles for Love, Wisdom, Peace and Harmony on Earth...OK and make the elections in the USA go well...the world does not need more dangerous men with dangerous ideas!  May President Obama win!

Minneshelg / Weekend of memories

Allhelgona Helg..tända ljus...

All Saints Day weekend...candle lights...

minnas de som inte finns bland oss längre...Morföräldrar, farföräldrar, släktingar, vänner....

remember those who are not with us anymore...Grand parents, relatives, friends...

och så de älskade djuren...Leon saknar sin Frasse Basse kompis! Fina rödvita Rasmus är tillsammans med Robin på andra sidan regnbågsbron...

and of course the lovable pets...Leon misses his friend Rasmus!  Beautiful Red /white Rasmus is together with Robin on the other side of the rainbow bridge...

Alla Helgonafrid / All Saints Day

Jag är inte religiös...inte alls...fast det betyder ju inte att jag inte tror på något...

I'm not a religious person...not at all...but that on the other hand does not mean that I don't believe in something ...

I kväll tände jag ,som många andra, ljus för våra nära och kära som inte är med oss längre...

Tonight we light candles for those near and dear who are not among us anymore...

Kvällar som denna kan jag nästan bli religiös!...så vackert!...

On a night like this I almost become religious...so beautiful!

och så gillar jag att tända ett ljus och tänka goda tankar...

and then I like to light a candle and think good thoughts...

I kväll bjöds det på vacker körsång och ljuvlig musik av Kammarkören...

This evening there was graceful music and hymns by the choir "Kammarkören"... 

Stora Tuna Kyrka är så väldigt vacker...

Our largest Church "Stora Tuna Church" is so very beautiful....

Akustiken är underbar...julkonserter blir maffiga här...

Not to mention the acoustics ...christmas concerts are amazing in this church...

Och kyrkorna finns här med sina vackra rum...så varför inte använda dem!...

And the churches are here, with their amazing spaces...so why not use them!...

Men nu är det dags att ta det lugnt!...

But now it's time to relax!...

Helgad Allhelgona / All Saints Day

Alla helgona helgen är stillsam, inget glammigt Halloween firande. Var till Stora Tuna Kyrka i dag och tände några ljus på våra nära och käras gravar. Det var väldigt mycket folk där och ljusen lyste så vackert i skymningen...

All Saints day is a peaceful holiday, no Halloween parties. Today I went to the Stora Tuna church and lit some candles on our loved ones graves. There where a lot of people there and hundreds and thousands of candles were glimmering in the dusk...very beautiful...

Kyrkan är magnifik...menad att bli en domkyrka en gång i tiden...

The church is magnificent...it was ment to be a cathedral once...

Vapenrummet var fyllt med tända ljus...

The entrance was filled with burning candles ..in Swedish it´s called the weapon room, where in the middle ages people had to leave their weapons before they entered the churhroom..no swordfights in front of the altar!...

Kyrkorummet är också mycket vackert..här är det ljuvligt att lyssna till körsång eller musik. Mässor är jag inte så mycket för...

The church inside is also very beautiful...it´s wonderful to listen to choirs and music here...otherwise I´m not much of a church visitor ...

Idag tänker vi på alla dem som inte finns bland oss längre...barnen ville till och med att vi skulle tända ett ljus på vår älsklingskatt Robins grav på ängen...så vi gjorde det. Någonstans däruppe bland stjärnorna på den mörka himmelen tittar de ner på oss...jag tror och hoppas att vi någongång ses igen...

Today we are thinking of our loved ones that are not with us anymore...the children wanted to light a candle at our favourite cat Robins grave on the meadow...so we did that. Somewhere up there amongst the stars on the dark night sky they are looking down on us...I hope and believe that we will meet again somewhere sometime...

I dag vill jag också gratulera mina föräldrar som varit gifta i 50 år den 31/10! Grattis!

Today I also want to congratulate my parents who have been married for 50 years on the 31st of october! Congrats!

Vintervit Allhelgona /All Saints day in white

Snön faller, till ungarnas glädje, marken bäddas in i vitaste vitt. Så passande när man skall tända ljus för de som inte längre är bland oss. Min lilla mormor Anna tänker jag extra mycket på. Hon var godheten personifierad! Liten, mullig, mjuk och go och full av kärlek.


Snow is falling, the kids love it, the ground is pampered in the whitest of white. So perfect when we light all the candles for those who are not with us anymore. I think a little extra on my Grandmother Anna. She was goodness impersonated! Tiny, round, soft and full of love.


Tänk...hon föddes 1903...då tillhörde Finland Tsarryssland. Allt hon gick igenom i sitt långa liv skulle kunna bli flera romaner. Fattigdom...började arbeta som piga vid 6 (!) års ålder på en gård...alla krig...elände...emigration till Sverige....Ja, jag skall försöka skriva ner detta någongång. Jag älskar henne fortarande mycket...det är märkligt att kärleken aldrig dör!

Just think...she was born in 1903...Finland belonged to the Tsar and Russia at that time. All she went through in her long life could be written down in several books. Poverty...started working at the age of 6 (!) at a farm...all the wars...misery...emigrated to Sweden....Yes I will write down these things sometime. I love her very much...funny how love never dies!

Den handbroderade stora duken köpte jag på Emmaus för 40 kr!...

I bought the big handembroidered tablecloth for 40 swedish kr (aprox 5 dollars)! at Emmaus, a helporganisation....

En hjärtformad snäckask som jag köpte på Röda korset...bara för att jag tyckte den var så fin...och kostade bara 5 kronor!

I bought this heartshaped box with seashells at the Red Cross...just because I think it´s beautiful...and the price was 5 swedish kr (that´s 62 cents!)

Ett annat hjärta finns i köksfönstret...

Another heart is in my kitchenwindow....

Mina vänner kom på besök för att mumsa på paradisäpplen i snön....

My friends came to say hello...and to eat some of the apples on the ground...

Mums!.... (det värsta är att de mumsar på mina blommor på våren också!)...

Yummy!...(and yes they eat my flowers also in the spring!)...

Men visst är de söta!...Puss på er allihop ...jag önskar alla en trevlig, lugn och skön allhelgona helg!
